since you're finishing the basement,unfaced is OK. Faced insulation is to keep moisture out from the house. How many people have seen the facing toward the unfinished rooom?{ I.E. Facing stapled to the joist.} This way of installing is backward and will void all warranties according to the pink guys. The facing is to be installed toward the finished room. Just a bit of information. Ron J.
