...for action. Videotape ALL of the deficient areas in question. Make a detailed list of all items in writing. Go back and with dates and times, document ALL conversations with the roofing contractor. By the way, is this contractor bonded and insured?? Next, make a list of your demands and sit down with the foreman or owner of the company, if possible, and lay out what you want in a calm manner. Is there a local contractors association that might help or could mediate/arbitrate?? If this effort fails, get your self a second opinion from an inspector and another roofing contractor and possibly your local code. Contact an attorney and if push comes to shove, hire another contractor to do the job was done wrong and the roofers suggestions to repair are just as bad. Good luck...
