The same way you would replace any shingle.

Only, Make sure you wet the siding to keep the dust down. use a mask rated for abestos dust.

The biggest problem that you are going to run into is that the siding lays flat against the other shingles and they are very brittle. The tool used to cut the heads off the nails that hold the shingle, must be extra thin. You will only have the thickness of the shingle to work with. (3/16" maybe).

I would hire this job out if you are not experianced with this kind of job.

You could end up stipping the whole house!
