The difference is in the details

Greetings Dee,

I vote Vinyl! I have a 28 X 48 Colonial and I went vinyl. The difference is the details you add.

Instead of a standard corner post, I used a 5 piece, wide corner post with the middle accent the same color as the siding. I installed window mantles, door surrounds, and raised panel shutters. I used light and sill cock blocks.

You can create a masterpiece of your own that will last!

I would contact the Vinyl Siding Institute, (they must have a website), or the showroom of your local home improvement contractor and see what can be done.

There are some new homes in my development (2 years old) that look like they need to think about painting soon.("tacky")

Good luck,
