the GFCI receptacle protects you. A GFCI circuit breaker protects user of any receptacle or fixture supplied by the breaker. A GFCI receptacle protects user of that receptacle and any receptacles wired downstream of it. Read up on the use of these inexpensive and highly protective devices. Like smoke and CO detectors, they are cheap insurance for you and yours. Luck, Kizmet
