And I thought it would be as simple as rolling out the new vinyl and trimming it to fit!
Thanks for all the comments and suggestions. As this property is not in the "high end" category, I'm just betting there is old vinyl, not ceramic tile, underneath the carpet. Will find out when I call for estimates.
It certainly is a concern if they go to put a new plywood flooring down prior to laying the vinyl...that would make quite a little "bump" between rooms...there is a mudroom/utility room and a powder room off the kitchen...hadn't planned on having them done, too, but may have to reconsider.
