for the kitchen sink cabinet the other option is to cut out a section of the baseboard to allow getting the cabinet fully to the wall or your idea to add a piece of 1x4 to the wall to shim it out and make it meet your cabinet sounds pretty good too but whatever you do,,,,you want the front of all adjacent cabinets to be flush with each other (assuming you have adjacent cabinets to this one, i.e. one on either side or at least one on one side. If this is the case, the adjacent cabinets are usually screwed to each other also besides both being screwed the backs into the wall studs. For the other two cabinets that are not up against a wall, you should some how try to get them screwed to the floor to keep them from moving as well. if the floor is covered with wood...seems like 2 strips of wood could be screwed to the floor such that you could get screws thru the bottom sides into these 2 pieces of wood. If the floor is concrete these 2 strips of 2x4 or whatever dimension of wood that can fit underneath can be nailed into the concretw with one of those power hammers with a 22 shell that can be bought from HOME Depot. hope this helps ....Post back if you need more help.
