Paula, I happened to have some spare vanes, and tested them last night using 1-an automotive spray paint, and 2- a Krylon matte finish spray paint; both look fine, with no adverse reactions between the plastic and the paint, so I think you'd be okay with any spray can paints, but;

-Be sure the vanes are first washed, then wiped down with denatured alcohol

- Do multiple, light-but-complete coats (if you get too heavy in a coat, the paint will want to do funky things)

The paints do not seem to chip or peel readily, only showing a problem if I bend the vane almost in half (which I doubt you'll be doing much to your blinds). Good luck
