Tearing down walls; building staircase

Posted by Elizabeth Arellano on September 28th, 1998 10:08 AM

Our house is 90 years old. It needs to be updated!! We would like to expand our living room by removing a bedroom that is adjancent to it. We would like to re-do the plaster walls with drywall. Then, build a spiral staircase in the "newly" expanded living room up to the attic, where we would like to have our bedroom. The attic needs to be insulated and the drywall has to be put up. With all of the electrical work that had to be done, what should we start with first??
