Teak wood

Posted by Marcie on January 16th, 2001 03:23 PM

I have a well used teak table that I oil often. Problem is whatever thin coating they put on the table top has worn off in the most used places. Can I lightly sand the rest of it off(with steel wool) and then apply some type of poly or other protectant. I know it can keep oiling it but I would like something more permanant and durable. It is my kitchen table and is in good shape otherwise.
