I CURRENTLY HAVE AN OIL FIRED FURNACE WHICH PRODUCES HOT WATER BASE BOARD HEAT AND DOMESTIC HOT WATER. NEEDLESS TO SAY, WHEN THE HEAT KICKS ON, I'M LIMITED TO LITTLE OR NO DOMESTIC HOT WATER. TIME TO PUT IN PLACE A HOT WATER SYSTEM. WITH THE PRICE OF OIL, I'M LEADING TO EITHER AN ELECTRIC HOT WATER HEATER OR TANKLESS SYSTEM. WITH THE PRICE OF ELECTRICITY BETWEEN 12 TO 17 CENTS PER KILOWATT HOUR AND INCOMING WATER TEMPERATURE AROUND 40 DEGREES, I'M NOT SURE WHICH IS BETTER FOR MY NEEDS. OF COURSE, I NEED TO CONTEND WITH 4 VS.3 ELEMENTS, CONSTRUCTION, WARRANTIES, ENERGY SAVINGS, ETC.
ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.
