I am in the middle of putting a new tabletop on a kitchen table. I basically started with a frame and table legs. I have attached a 5/8” sheet of particle board onto the frame. Now I want to put some hardwood onto it to finish the top. I plan to use a 1/8” sheet of oak, cut into strips 4” wide. My question is: What is the best way to attach this to the particle board so that it stays in place and has a great finish on top?
