I have a laminated tabletop that is damaged and need to cover it. Can I screw a plywood sheet on it and either paint it or put parquet floor tiles on it. I was thinking ceramic tile but was told that was no good. Or should I go to a yard sale andd buy an old wood table and attach the top to my table?? I would Love any ideas. I can't believe there is nothing I can do. It's a new sturdy table. It was lifting up and I tried to glue it and it changed color. The more I tried to repair it the uglier it became. I can't just throw it away, I like the set and the chairs. Help me please.
