We had 3 lights each operated by a switch in a 2 way system.
We have removed one of the lights so want to replace the 2 rows of 3 switches with 2 rows of 2 switches.
Through a basic knowledge of live and switch wires (make that very basic) we have successfully wired up 1 row of switches. The second row works for one of the lights but not the other.
Any tips? I am also concerned about earthing the switches as they are in a metal casing. There are green and white wires within the exposed ares below the switch - however, these are not accessible. Are these the earth wires? There is also one black wire in each case - are these the earth wires instead (we have identified the yellow switch wires, blue neutral wires and red live wires)?
