You can always purchse 'plastic, opaique tiles suspended on an alluminium frame. Failing that, Timber is always durable as long as it's treated during installation. As for moistur removal, A humidistat extractor fan will do the job, the humidistate kicks in when the moisture content of the room reached 17%wme (wood Moisture equivilent) so you can be sure that it will keep room well ventilated, you can run them through a duct to an external point, but avoid too many bends in the duckting. The humidistate also avoids having to fit a switch (although it, as any electrical applience in a bathroom) will need a fused spur outside the bathroom it's self.
