It would look really neat, you think. Then, one day, you will decide that you should really clean off all the tomato sauce, grease, dust, etc off the walls. Do you have any idea how hard it is to wash Z brick?

Z-brick backsplashes are a real mistake, and if you ever want to remove them, it requires taking the drywall with it. In my opinion, I would never recommend it.

Look at tile, slate, marble, etc, ANYTHING but Z-brick!

Just my opinion, and the nightmare of more than one of my customers in kitchen remodels over the years.
