Every 3-4 years, I have a seepage problem in my basement, which seems to stem from water build up under the foundation. If I chose a location proximate to the middle of my basement, dig a sump, and install a liner with pump, is it likely that enough sub-foundation water will find its way to that location to remedy my problem? How should I instally my liner? Is it adequate to surround it with several inches of gravel on the outside, and then to drill holes in the liner to allow water to penetrate? What size pump do you recommend for a rise of 10 vertical feet, and a overall length to exit of water of around 30 feet? Any other info would be much appreciated. Thanks!
