sump pump

Posted by Jim Toms on February 3rd, 1999 08:50 PM

Want to put a shower in the basement at a location not close to a floor drain. Don't want to run PVC drain in or on top the floor to the floor drain. I've seen a picture of a "water box" that holds a sump pump. Would pump up and over to the common drain for the washer. This concept seems fine except the inlet on the water box is about 10" high so would require that the shower be elevated quite high to drain properly into the water box. Are there water boxes and pumps made especially for showers that have a lower profile?
