suggestions on repair of a fiberglass tub/shower surround

Posted by S Swift on July 16th, 2000 09:38 PM

I need some suggestions on repair of a fiberglass tub/shower surround. At one point (appx. center of tub) the surround has broken loose from the adhesive that is used to bond the surround to the wallboard. The wall seems to be solid ( as in not soaked with water) behind the 'loose ' portion of the surround. I don't know of any history as we just purchased the house. The loose portion extends up from the rim of the tub about 6-8 inches. From that point on it is solidly glued to the wallboard. Short of replacemant or removal/reinstallation what could you suggest to get the surround re-attached?
