Yes, for the most part, exchanges go fine. But I have personal experience and proof that they have simply discontinued about 7 Craftsman tools....and for what good reason? Yet, they will still offer a Sears is simply a labeling issue - they don't want to lose money..they want you to lose out.
The other issue is the quality of some of the exchanges. Again, things like the garden tools, screwdrivers, and pliers are obviously of a poorer quality than the originals we purchased.
And of course, the occassional hassles with the clerks are an insult.
But again, read those questions, and then do your own test at the stores and make them answer those questions.
