I have read a couple of articles about putting a free floating subfloor
which basically means they build a subfloor and then nail or screw the
framings top to the ceiling boards and the bottom to the subfloor. So the
subfloor isn't attached to the cement floor but the weight from the framing
and the attached top will keep the subfloor in place. They were all build
in a dry basement. Any thoughts on this technique?
