Stucco exterior walls

Sometime ago we had our stucco sandblasted (about 6 years ago)
We did nothing to the walls until last summer when I began
to fill the "holes" made by the sandblaster, then I made a
mixture of stucco which was thinner than the "paste" mixture
in the directions on the bag. This mixture allowed me to "paint"
the stucco so that it looked much better than the pock-marked
exterior we had for so long.
Now I want to paint our house. I have gone over the whole house
with a wire paint remover brush (it goes on an electric drill
and has "spikes" that hit off loose stucco. I want to pull my
old trick of "stucco painting" the walls so that they apear
more even looking..... I have tried it on one side of the house
and it looks pretty good. Now can I prime and paint over my
original stucco paint/wash?

Many thanks if anyone has suggestions....
