Hi, Raj. You could chemically strip but I think that it would be pretty tough with the rough surface and small surface area. If you do go this way, Citristrip is my favorite stripper and they have just come out with an aerosol version. I haven't tried it yet.

But I know that if I was faced with your task that I would look at sand blasting. The sand blasting will not only remove the paint but also any rust and it will do it without leaving sanding marks and changing the characteristic wrought iron surface. If you have a good air compressor, a sand blasting gun is about $35. You will want to work outside and wear a good mask. Our area has many places that will do this commercially, so you might do some checking in yours if you want to have it done.
