stripping paint from built-in cabinet

Posted by kyla on September 27th, 1999 02:37 PM

2 questions.

1. I used a product called Jasco to remove 3 layers of paint from a cabinet door (wish I had found this message board sooner!). Most of the paint came off but now I'm left with spots of milky-colored paint that won't come off unless I use the putty knife to scrape in the groove of the wood (which is damaging the wood). Toothbrush just spreads the paint around rather than taking it off. It seems like the paint is embedded in the wood. What can I use to get this off?

2. What can be used to take the paint off the metal hardware (e.g., drawer pulls, knobs, & hinges) on the cabinetry?
any suggestions are much appreciated.
