Sounds like "chatter" marks from the drum sander, they are caused from an out of balance drum, or they are "pits" from stoping and starting movements during sanding, they can be taken out with additional disk sanding with a buffer or try using a drum to cut down to fresh wood and then switching to an orbital sander for the last two cuts. Drum sanding is a true art, the trick is to "feather" your starts and stops.
