thats your problem ,,,if you can stabilize and keep the wooden subfloor from flexing you can minimize,,,maybe even eliminate the tile cracking... even ceramic tiles layed on a concrete slab can experience some tile cracking due to foundation shifts in response to soil moisture content. Maybe addition cross braces/joist underneath this space will help if you access the space below. Hope this helps. LJ
