Steve & Jay.....

Posted by Painter Barb on March 8th, 2001 06:51 PM

The more I look at this ceiling the more I hate it. Am going to Loew's in the morning to buy more paint and try and fix this mess. As much as I didn't want to repaint the ceiling...looks like I have no choice. Boy do I wish I'd asked for help BEFORE I started!! This should be a lesson for anyone reading this who wants to paint. However, I am the eternal optomist and know that I can get this done.

I used an oil based primer w/latex satin on the ceiling...I am now going to get a flat paint for the ceiling instead. Do you two think that this will cover the spackle/primer coming through? I guess it's even more glaring because of the light coming from the doors...

Steve, when I said Kilz stinks...I meant literally...the stuff is so strong smelling. This is the same stuff that I used on the ceiling...I'm afraid to paint the walls for fear of the same thing happening. Are you sure that I don't have to prime the whole wall? And if I do, can I prime with a water based prime over oil based?

So many questions....

Again and again, Thanks.
