How about if I get up on the roof and caulk around some more; say more around the stack and the flashing. I have a Colonial where the upper most floor is above the garage roof and the area that is leaking is at the peak of the upper roof directly ajacent to the garage. Also, I may be able to remove the gable vent to look in the attic, too. I hesitate to get into the attic again for two reasons... new blown in insulation (yulk) and, most importantly, every time someone walks on the beams up there I get nail pops in my ceiling.
If you think some more caulking is worth a try, what type of caulking should I use. I've heard that GE Silicone II is pretty good for this purpose.
