When we build our home 25 years ago, we stained all of the wood including the doors a dark color to match the barn beams throughout. We recently replaced all of the windows and had them stained by a professional (thank goodness). However, the sample color I gave her is much lighter than the wood in the rest of the house. I love the new color, but my husband is having a fit over the fact that we will probably have to replace all of the trim and doors and stain to match.
My question- is there a way to lighten the interior doors to be closer in color to the windows so that we don't have to replace all doors?
