stained dis-similar wood

Thanks for your prompt response. However, I know this can be done for two reasons. 1 I knew a painter (don't know where he is now), who could do it and it didn't take him any time at all. 2 The particular house in question has 9 rooms. Only one was painted, the other rooms have doug fir panel doors, clear pine door casing and jambs, birch panelling with an as yet undetermined hardwood picture frame and the same 6 step crown moulding. Each room has a slightly different stain color theme varying from an almost peach tone to a dark oak tone. You can very easily tell the different woods/grain, but the color is very consistant through out the room. possibly one of your reader has had experience with this process and will be able to help. Thank you
