While I live in a different part of the country, this is what I did. My water was seeping along a rock shelf at the bottom of a small ravine. I dug down about two feet wher i encountered a layer of blue clay. I dug a trench slighly longer than the rock shelf, and buried a plastic perforated drain pipe. I put two layers of six mil plastc sheeting on the downhill side of the trench, to seal the water, and then covered the drain with gravel, plastic, then soil. At the downhill end of the trench I built a stone box to catch the water from the drain. I ran a pipe from the box downhill to a buried 450 gal plastic tank that has a submersible pump. Has worked very well, been extremely cheap. Get your water tested, including for chemicals, and heavy minerals.
