I just purchased built in 1960 a home that has the gameroom, bedroom, laundry bath, and a large room that is the basement room that has the heat/ac unit and water heate in it. this house was vacant for about 2yrs. down stairs had thin layer of mildew everywhere which I have now cleaned. but you can still smell it a month later.
the laundry room has a brick painted wall that has a few cracks and a some patches that look like salt patches. I have painted the entire room except that wall. What can I do myself to repair this wall? And in the room with the HVAC unit how can get rid of the smell in it?
