Sounds like improper installation, to me.

Here's an excerpt from the Formica flooring website. They recommend 48 hours acclimation! Call the installers back!

1.01 Quality Assurance
A. All flooring and system components shall be supplied by the FormicaŽ Flooring division of Formica Corporation and the local Authorized Formica Flooring distributor.
B. Flooring material must be allowed to acclimate to the building conditions on the job site in a clean, dry well ventilated area for a minimum of 48 hours prior to the installation.
C. The building must be reasonably dry; all openings must be closed in, permanent HVAC systems must be installed and working. Minimum temperature should be 65°F (18.3°C). Concrete must be at least 60 days old.
D. The subfloor shall be smooth, straight, dry and free of foreign objects. The level of tolerance is 3/16" in any 10' radius. High spots shall be ground level, and low spot filled with an approved leveling compound
