I知 also starting a soundproofing project. I壇 like to know more about your project.

I have also looked at and ordered the book advertised there.

I live on the second floor of a duplex. I知 considering attempting to soundproof the floor between the first and second floors. I値l start with one room, and then do more if necessary.

My main problem is the base sounds from the TV and stereo in the first floor apartment. I知 thinking about putting durarock over the existing ceiling of the first floor apartment, then installing resilient channels, and then 5/8 drywall.

I recently talked to an acoustical engineer who specializes in commercial soundproofing. He said blowing fiberglass into the joist space does little to stop sound especially low frequency sound. He said to use as much as mass as possible to block the low frequency sounds.
