THE ROOM INSIDE A ROOM IS THE BEST WAY TO GO.LEAVE AT LEAST A ONE INCH AIR GAP BETWEEN EXISTING WALLS.DRYWALL AND SOUND BOARD ON BOTH SIDES OF EXISTING AND NEW WALLS. REGULAR INSULATION IS BETTER BECAUSE IT IS MORE POROUS AND REDUCES VIBRATION.NO WINDOWS. SOLID CORE DOOR WITH SOUND BOARD AND DRYWALL ON BOTH SIDES. DOUBLE UP ON SOUND BOARD ON INSIDE WALLS. USE AS LITTLE NAILS OR SCREWWS AS POSSIBLE AS HARD MATERIALS TRANSFER VIBRATION MORE READILY. HANG CARPET ON WALLS AND CEILING LEAVING IT LOOSE WHICH CREATES MORE AIR GAP.
