I live in 2nd floor with electric baseboard heat. The landlords use Diezel to heat downstairs. I know this since the delivery man left receipt on my door by mistake. I am getting a ton of soot in my apt which I do not think is from electric heat. I don't know where it is coming from as there is no visible vents from downstairs. I think the furnace may be malfunctioning, they say they've had it cleaned and serviced?? But I think not! I don't even know if Deizel is legal to use for home heating?
