to get rid of mold that has established a foothold. I would suggest that you wash the affected walls with a strong bleach solution to kill any remaining spores, and then visit your local Sherwin Williams store for a good mold resistant paint to repaint the walls with.
Venting your exhaust fan to the outside instead of just into the attic may help some. Either through a roof vent or over to a soffit vent. If you already have continuous ridge vent on the roof, this probably wouldn't make much difference.
If you have a forced air furnace, you might try leaving the blower on for a couple of hours a day to keep the air circulating. If you have baseboard heating, then the addition of a small fan to circulate air through the bathroom may help. You want to try to eliminate any moist, stagnant air that can condense on surfaces.
