solution to replacing rigid sheathing on exterior walls without removing brick face(facade)

Posted by James R on July 20th, 2004 04:44 PM

I'm a fire restoration specialist from the Central Florida area. I thought I remember seeing a process in which a non expanding foam was used to seal, insulate & strengthen wood framed exterior load bearing walls from the brick facade eliminating the process of removing the 2 by 4 framing, sheathing it and reinstalling it with cut outs for brick to frame strapping. I'm aware of the possiblity of having to strengthen exterior wall to meet Florida's wind codes. If any one could give me some insight on a process or product that I'm looking for. It would be extremly appreciated. Thanks, James R.
