your saying the wall did not have to be any wider to accomodate the pocket door? I am about to learn something new. I have never installed on, adjusted and figured out how to get many functional again, but I just figured that to encorporate the door and its frame, that the actual wall size in width had to be wider to accomodate all this stuff.

Let me ask you, how does the structure of the door and the framing of the wall on each side of the door become sound with the wall studs not going from one side of the wall to the other?

Jay, is there a site that one can see the anatomy of a wall with a pocket door with the rock peeled away? Will do a search and see what I can find.

You have got me very intriqued.
