SMOKE SMELL

WE JUST RECENTLY HAD A BEAUTIFUL FIRE GOING IN THE FIREPLACE OF OUR FAMILY ROOM ON A VERY WINDY DAY AND NOTICED THAT UNBELIEVABLE AMOUNTS OF SMOKE WERE BACKING UP INTO THE HOUSE. AS SOON AS WE NOTICED WE PUT THE FIRE OUT AND OPENED ALL THE WINDOWS AND DOORS UNTIL THE SMOKE CLEARED. I VACCUMED THE RUGS AND LIT ALOT OF SCENTED CANDLES. THE NEXT DAY I LEFT ALL THE WINDOWS OPENED, CEILING FANS ON AND WENT OUT MOST OF THE DAY, WHEN I RETURNED THE HOUSE DID NOT SMELL ANY BETTER AND I AM NERVOUS THAT I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET RID OF THIS SMELL. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT ELSE I CAN DO TO GET RID OF THIS TERRIBLE ODOR.
THANK YOU
