smoke damage

Posted by Denise on January 27th, 2001 02:38 PM

Everyone has been helpful in the past I'm hoping for some on advice on smoke damage. Last night my dryer caught on fire - we caught it before we went to bed - thank God!! The fire dept removed it before the whole machine caught on fire so we have no fire damage just smoke smell. We have a small laundry closet in our family room/kitchen. The kitchen/family room no longer smells but the closet stinks. Any suggestions? Will a thorough cleaning do the trick and maybe repainting the already painted paneled walls? Any help would be greatly appreciated. . .Thanks.
