Sistering Deck Joists(2x10): Which type of fasteners to use?

I am about to do a repair on a cantilevered deck on the 2nd floor. I had to cut away about the top 2 in of some joists under the deck because of dryrot. I now plan to use penetrating epoxy on all joists and on new material too. I need to sister some of these joists with 2x10 joists on one side of them. What type of fasteners would be best for this? I have considered long deck screws, carriage bolts or both. If any real carpenters out there has any suggestions, can you please let me know, as I want to do this right. Thanks!
