Silicone has no solvent but...

I think the idea of TSP is a good one. I would remove the door and wash it several times from the top down, always rinsing from the top down. I know of no solvent to "cut" silicone, but it can be washed off. The trouble is, with the extra layers of paint on there, are you going to have to strip it first?
