Victor, this is just my opinion so take it for what it is worth... I think you are better off with the lowest maintenance siding that you like the look of. Cedar is durable but nothing like brick. Being a natural wood product there will be maintenance required, more so than the little required for brick (or stone). In the end pick a house that says "Good morning!" to you when you look at it.
