I am in the middle of bids for a bath remodel. My big dilemma is the what type of floor to use for a shower stall. My gut tells me that one piece molded will not leak but I also have a contractor that swears that a mortar base with a rubber membrane installed properly will never leak either. What are the ins and outs of each and things to beware of?
