Well, call me crazy: I have never built a large structure before and my new project is to build an out door shead for storsge by my house. Still in the planning stages, I have CAD on my computer and am drawing my plans in 3D. Anyway, my questions are:
1) for a small shead (6x8) that will not be diging, will have to back fill to level ground, Do I need a building permit?
2) I'm thinking of using native lumber, though I have heard of it being hard to get in exact measurements.Any one know of a wood, or lumber company that is as ecnomical as native lumber, however more exact measurements.
3) I'm having a hard time figuring the door framing.?!? I'm using platform framing, 2x4x7 studs. my door idea is in the 6' wall to have a 3' door way, with two 1.5" doors, swinging out.

Any advise?
