I'm residing my house. I've discovered that the attic has no sheathing. The cheesey pressboard siding was stapled to 1x6 furring strips across the studframing. As I'm on a grade, I'm forced to use a ladder so on a two story house, it's hairy. Would 1x6's used in place of sheating be effective? Would be safer than 4x8 panels. Make sense?
