I'm a reporter for a national magazine working on a just-for-fun story about unusual do-it-yourself kits and the people who use them. I'm interested in kits, books and videos that purport to help novices accomplish things that almost everyone assumes should require the services of a professional.
I'm looking for from people who have used any sort of oddball/far-out kit ranging from do-it-yourself taxidermy videos to build-your-own in-ground pool kits and at-home medical treatments and tests. Why did you try it? How were the results?
If you're up for an interview, please email me. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have about the article.
