First I feel we must determine Sears home authenticity by contacting the previous owners of our home. Someone will have the answers here in our community. During my lunch hour tomorrow I plan to spent some time at the Court House looking through some old deed books. As of this time we have been unable to locate our home's floor plan in either of the two informative Sears home books we've recently purchased. However, a few of the floor plans are a close match. We plan to look in the attic later this week when the weather warms up some to try to locate any numbered studs, rafters to determine if this house was a kit house.

Thank you for your help. We may check Illinois if nothing turns up here. We'll keep everyone posted. We're still interested in whatever help is out there.
