First, I must say that I have never seen a carpet installer flip a carpet over to seam it. You will have to rent a seaming iron. To seam the carpet, heat up the iron, put your seam tape adheasive side up under the carpet seam, roll the carpet back enough to get the iron under the carpet edge, push it along the tape while pushing the carpet into the adheasive, when you get to the other end, roll the carpet back, pull out the iron and push the carpet down to the seam tape. It is not as hard as it sounds, you have done the hardest part.
